Devon and Teignbridge Councils are gradually reducing their services to us due to budgetary pressures. This means there are more weeds growing in the streets and there may be more litter. Should we?

If the council increases its budget by about £10,000 per annum to pay for a
parish lengthsman that would increase the Band D charge by about £15 per annum.

Do nothing?
Organise regular ‘tidy town’ events where residents are encouraged to clear weeds and any litter outside their homes and elsewhere?
Increase our budget (through your Council Tax) to fund further efforts to keep the town looking clean and tidy?
Prioritise the summer and weeds in the town centre or winter and drain and gulley clearance of rural lanes?
